Jimenez talks about the state of Philippine cooperatives

 

Ms. Shieradel Jimenez, a faculty member of the Management and Organization Department (MOD), presented her paper title “The State of Philippine Cooperatives” to a small group of faculty members and students at the Research Hub, 2nd floor of the DLSU Faculty Center on February 18, 2015. This presentation is part of the MOD-CBRD Lecture Series, which is meant to give faculty members an opportunity to present their works-in-progress so that they can get valuable inputs from their colleagues on how to convert these into articles for scholarly publications.

Zamagni talks about globalization, poverty, business, and CST

  

Is there a relationship between globalization, poverty, business and Catholic Social Teaching?  This was the question that Stefano Zamagni of the University of Bologna and John Hopkins University, SAIS Europe tackled in his plenary speech on February 26, 2014, the first day of the 9th International Conference on Catholic Social Thought (CST) and Business Education, which was held at De La Salle University. Zamagni reflected on the relationship between globalization and poverty, approaches to cope with poverty, role of business on the scandal of poverty and offered some practical suggestions based on the CST.
